Treyarch, known for creating Zombies mode in COD: World War, keeps things alive with loads to do in MW3 Zombies. And we’re expecting some more seasonal content drops soon as we explore the lore and goodies of the Dark Aether Rift. After you’ve collected some Sigils via completing Tier 3 contracts in Modern Warfare 3 Zombies, you can now officially make your way to enter the Dark Aether Rift in MW3 Zombies. But how do you get the Elder Sigil, Dark Aether Blade, or The Golden Plate Vest, or the Dog Bone in MW3 Zombies? To do this, you need to complete 3 Dark Aether Bunny Contracts, which are scattered around the Dark Aether Rift’s Map.
The Elder Sigil, The Dark Aether Blade, The Golden Armor Plate Vest, and The Dog Bone are all Legendary Rare Items that have a random drop rate. You have to complete three Dark Aether Rift Bunny contracts to get your hands on one of these Classified Legendary Rare Items. But they are one-time-use consumables. So use them wisely, or stash them for further ventures into the Dark Aether Rift.
Dark Aether Rift Map – Contract Bunny Locations
The Dark Aether Bunny Contracts in MW3 Zombies are scattered around all corners of the map and one is found on top of a castle. If you have Death Perception equipped, you can easily find the Contract Bunnies to start your Dark Aether Contracts. But be quick and have an OP loadout like the Akimbo Tyr Revolvers because the Dark Aether has some powerful zombies and a time limit of 30 minutes.
The Dark Aether Bunny Contracts consist of:
- Aether Extraction Contract – At the south of the map, climb up the ladder and make it to the top of the building.
- Escort Contract – Found atop the fortress at the castle.
- Outlast Contract – Found in the windscreen of a Green Bus.
The Outlast Bunny Contract in Dark Aether Rift – MW3 Zombies:
The Outlast Contract in MW3 tasks you to activate a PND and remain in a tattered building till the analysis progresses and is completed.
You have to take out a horde of very fast zombies till the analysis is completed. You’ll be granted a Rift Reward which could award you with either an Aether Blade, an Elder Sigil, or Golden Armor Plates in MW3 Zombies. However, Rift Rewards are randomized and the chances of getting an Elder Sigil are very low.
The Extraction Bunny Contract in Dark Aether Rift – MW3 Zombies
The Extraction Contract gives you a limited amount of time– 3 minutes to be exact, to destroy 3 Aether Extractors scattered across the map.
Finding them is fairly easy since yellow indicators will point you in the direction of the Extraction Points. Evade zombies and try to speed run on completing the mission.
The Escort Bunny Contract in Dark Aether Rift – MW3 Zombies
The Escort Contract is one of the most difficult Contracts in the Dark Aether Rift.
Make sure to stay close to the ACV or on top of it and fight off the hordes of zombies till you reach the destination. As you approach the destination, you’ll encounter a Mega Abomination, which is the best time to use Juggernaut and blast away at it. And now you get your last set of Rift rewards.
How To Exfil Safely from the Dark Aether Rift – Exfil Location
After you’ve completed your set of contracts, it’s time to Exfil out of the map. Multiple Exfils are scattered across the map, but the easiest one to find is the one near the fortress, located at F5.

How To Get The Dark Aether Blade In MW3 Zombies
By completing one of the three Dark Aether Rift Contracts, you may or may not receive a Dark Aether Blade Case. It’s a one-time use consumable which allows you to one-shot enemies with the Dark Aether Blade throwing knife. You’ve got an unlimited amount of ammo with a cool-down period, but it lasts so long as you Exfil from the Dark Aether Rift in MW3 Zombies. You could also choose to stash it. Furthermore, you have to complete 3 Dark Aether Bunny Contracts in one single go to increase your chances of obtaining the Aether Blade.
How To Get The Dog Bone in MW3 Zombies
Again, the Dog Bone in a Legendary Rarity Rift Reward Item Drop in MW3 Zombies, which occurs when completing one of the three Dark Aether Bunny Contracts. The Dog Bone is a one-time-use consumable item that allows you to summon a Level 3 Friendly Hell Hound as your ally. He’ll revive your teammates if they’re downed, attack zombies, and recover health when doing nothing.
You can either use the Dog Bone as a one-time consumable or stash it for your next venture into the Dark Aether Rift. Obtaining the Dog Bone could be a hit-or-miss due to the item-drop randomization in MW3 Zombies, but completing one Dark Aether Rift Bunny Contract on a higher difficulty should give you the Dog Bone.
How to Get The Golden Armor Plate
The Golden Armor Plate is another classified item in MW3 Zombies, which can be unlocked as a single-use item Rift Reward after completing two contracts in a single go. Though its drop is not guaranteed due to item randomization, playing the Dark Aether on a higher difficulty could increase the likelihood of obtaining the Golden Armor Plate.
The Golden Armor Plate increases your resistance to incoming damage and repairs itself over time, making it the best armor plate in the game when going up against Zombies in the Dark Aether Rift of Higher Difficulty.
How To Get Elder Sigils in MW3 Zombies
The Elder Sigils are Sigils of Legendary Rarity that are placed on the opposite side of the Aether Rift Portal to enter an Aether Rift of Higher Difficulty. To obtain the Elder Sigil, complete the 3 Bunny contracts in the Dark Aether Rift, but the drop rate of the Elder Sigil is pretty low, so you might have to replay another Dark Aether Rift Session. Play with a squad to increase your chances of getting your hands on the Elder Sigil as a Rift Reward. Make sure to have a Tombstone Perk with you or even use the Tombstone Glitch if possible! With the Elder Sigil, you can traverse into the Aether Rift with more vicious zombies. This time, you are guaranteed to get any Legendary Rarity item, and one guaranteed Classified Schematic upon completing the same set of contracts.
