Helldivers 2 Patch 1.000.102 Introduces New Enemy Balancing Update

Helldivers New Patch Helldivers Patch 1.000.102

Previously, players had been discussing the spawn rate of heavily armored Terminids at higher or Helldive difficulties of the game. Players wanted some anti-tank capabilities or buffs added into the mix as seen with the Autocannon and Defensive Sentry Stratagems, but not to the extent that the game becomes all too easy. So, the developers have decided to reduce the spawn rate of Bile Titans and Chargers on Difficulties 7+. But with the decreased number of Chargers and Bile Titans, we might expect to see more Hunters and swarms of bugs in the equation.

EAT-17 AND Recoilless Rifle Buffed – Chargers Have Been Nerfed

Helldivers 2 New Patch 1.000.102 EAT-17 Buff Chargers Nerfed

Players previously aimed for the legs when trying to take out a Charger with their Anti-tank Stratagems, but the developers figured this was a bit too much. Hence, they’ve decided to reduce the health of Charger’s heads. A rifle or a rocket launcher could get the job done now. Expect one steady shot from the Recoilless Rifle or the EAT-17 to decimate Chargers.

In addition, the developers revealed that they buffed the armor penetration capabilities of the EAT-17 and the Recoilless Rifle, making these weapon Stratagems the new Meta for the upcoming update. Still, we have to wait and see how the tides turn when the new War Bond drops along with some new weapons making their way into Helldivers 2’s new update.

The developers have removed the Electronic Countermeasures Modifier which sometimes gave you a random Stratagem instead of the Stratagem code you’d input. With a few UI, subtitle fixes, and mid-game crashes fixed, the developers are investigating a plethora of issues. But one thing is still troubling the community. Sometimes, players are still unable to extract from a mission, making it impossible to complete the mission alive.

Summary

That pretty much wraps up everything you need to know about Helldivers 2’s Patch 1.000.102 New Update. Stay tuned for the upcoming Season 2 Update that’s aimed to bring new weapons into the mix that are sure to change the pace and meta of the game.
