Marvel’s SpiderMan 2’s latest patch went live yesterday in response to the controversy generated by the in-game Puerto Rican flag.
Insomniac just released a new patch for their hyped SpiderMan 2 game addressing some stability issues and fixing the Peurto Rican flag inside and outside Miles Morale’s apartment. Along with the patch, an official apology was also conveyed by Insomniac Games addressing the controversy. The Cuban flag was incorrectly displayed as the Puerto Rican flag which was reversed in the update.
The official patch notes state:
General Fixes & Polish:
- Addressed an issue where an incorrect flag was displayed.
- Addressed an issue where models would not load properly after long play sessions.
- Addressed an issue where The Amazing 2 Suit’s Spider logo appeared too bright.
- Improved stability.
SpiderMan 2 launched with blazing reviews and is currently sitting at 90 on Metacritic. Insomniac has refined their existing open-world formula even more for Spider-Man 2 and made it fresh by adding new abilities like web wings and symbiote. It is the fastest-selling PlayStation exclusive selling 2.5 million+ copies in under 24 hours after launch.
