12 Years in the Making

The long-awaited, highly anticipated, epic reveal trailer of GTA VI is here, almost 12 years after the first reveal of GTA V was released. GTA V is widely known to be one of the greatest and best-selling games in video game history as it broke several Guinness World Records. Some of these monumental achievements are that it is the best-selling video game in 24 hours, the fastest video game to gross $1 Billion, and the highest revenue generated by an entertainment product in 24 hours to just name a few. This has put a lot of expectations on GTA VI to outdo its predecessor. Rockstar took their sweet time to work on their most successful franchise so we can positively anticipate it will be a massive upgrade.

GTA VI Lucia

The trailer being 1 minute and 30 seconds long, reveals a lot of old and new stuff for fans to be excited about. As expected, the city is new and with it, all new characters, graphical prowess, weapons, and vehicles. Let’s break down and analyze the trailer and discuss everything that you might have missed in GTA VI’s trailer.

Welcome back to Vice City

The world of this game is set in the fictional City of Vice City, Leonida, depicting Florida and all its craziness. Lucia is the main character, a convicted Latina with Jason, her partner in crime. Not much is revealed about her and Jason or the story in this initial trailer, but we can expect more details in upcoming trailers. Satire and Humor are thrown on your face throughout the trailer. A Social Media app, like Instagram, seems to be promoting a nudist watering his plants, a twerking lady on top of a running car, and even an alligator being caught by animal rescue from a pool.

GTA VI Beach

You get all kinds of madness in this city, from Rednecks, Gangs, meth heads and thugs. There are Strip clubs, a beach, underground races, and a demolition derby mania as spotted in the trailer. You get a glimpse of the nightlife, the Miami man on a yacht with women and nightclubs too. Fans should be pumped to experience the world of Vice City and all the new things they can do besides continuing the main storyline missions.

The World of GTA VI in All Its Glory

We get wide shots of the map on the trailer throughout such as the beach, the swamp, nighttime, and small islands around the Vice City bridge. All these screenshots show the sheer size of the map being large. It seems larger than Los Santos, but we still don’t know the actual scale in comparison.

NPC details and density have greatly increased in GTA VI. If you remember the ghost beach of Vespucci, this is a breath of fresh air. All NPCs have different faces and body types. Some of the characters have distinguished tattoos, various skin tones, and clothing. The NPCs are not downgraded in quality making GTA 6 more immersive than previous titles. There are far more per frame, and each does its own random thing. One of the scenes from the beach shows a man applying sunscreen on a lady and you can see her body shine from the reflection of the sun, these details are what Rockstar thrives in.

GTA VI Beach

Buildings don’t have 2-dimensional photos as windows this time. There is more depth, and you can see the building interior varying from each window in the trailer. Wildlife is denser and more tropical due to the location. The fauna is comparable to Red Dead Redemption 2 and that is a good thing. RDR2 was successful in showcasing animals and their realistic motion so we can expect it to be even better in GTA 6. We can see dolphins, flamingos, ducks, deer, and gators. There must be a wider selection of animals that we can expect to spot in further trailers.

Flamingos

GTA VI Weapons and Vehicles

About four weapons were spotted in the trailer but further trailers will reveal way more. In the swamp scene, the character is carrying a shotgun of some sort. The police body cam footage reveals a pistol and a scoped carbine. In the final season, you can see Lucia holding the Glock Pistol.

A new sports power boat and a new Sports Bike with a grey and white paint job can be seen. A brand new supercar, similar to the Lamborghini Aventador can be spotted in the nighttime shot of the trailer. Police cars have a wider variety of options as we saw an SUV and a Hellfire converted to a cop car during a speed chase on the highway. One Famous vehicle makes a return from GTA Vice City and San Andreas, the Oceanic was spotted. This vehicle gives out vibes straight from the 60’s and it would be unacceptable if it didn’t make it in GTA VI.

Nightlife

Love is a Long Road of Waiting

In just 1 Minute and 30 seconds of watching the trailer, we got a pretty detailed glimpse of what to expect. The sheer size of the map, dynamic locations, wildlife, weapons and vehicles, cultures, and outrageous satire is what makes it all too special. It gave us just a taste, a feel of how the world of Vice City feels in the 21st Century. The only downside to the trailer was the end, where it was shown the game won’t be released till 2025. Fans have to wait another year in anticipation for one of the most immersive open-world role-playing titles in history to hit the stores.

Another year of GTA Online it is fellas.
