Niantic has officially announced the biggest event of the year for Pokemon GO, the Pokemon GO Fest coming in June and July to new venues in Japan, Spain and the US. The live venue events will be followed up with the Global Event coming right after on July 13th and 14th, giving players around the globe a chance to participate and reap the rewards of the GO Fest. For the Pokemon GO Fest Global, a ticket is already up for purchase in the game as well as on the Pokemon GO Web Store that gives a few extra rewards to go along with all the unlocked exclusive Ticket rewards players can get, with Marshadow being the highlight encounter.
There is much to go through for everything that players can get for free from the Pokemon GO Fest Global 2024 event, but there are also many perks for players who opt to buy the Global Ticket. Here’s everything you need to know about the event and the rewards you can get from playing Pokemon GO in July when the global event arrives.
Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Ticket
The Ticket for the Pokemon GO Fest Global Event is available for purchase in the ingame shop as well as on the Pokemon GO Web Store. It retails for $14.99 USD, giving the highlight to three main things and more which are an encounter with Marshadow, the Mythical Pokemon from the Alola Region that first debuted in the mainline Pokemon games, Pokemon Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, as well as in the “Pokemon the Movie: I Choose You!”, Raid Passes, encounters with Jangmo-o, special Incense encounters, exclusive Bonuses during the event days and much more. The active period to make the most out of the GO Fest Global Event and all the perks of the ticket will be from 10 AM to 6 PM on the event days.
The Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Ticket will also give some exclusive Timed Research Tasks before the actual event to allow players to get many more rewards than just what the two Pokemon GO Fest Global days give, so there’s a benefit for players to get the Ticket early.
Marshadow
It has a small statue but with a Fighting and Ghost Type Matchup, Marshadow is known for its shadowlike boxing moves and attacks, Spectral Thief being its signature move that’s even upgradable to an exclusive Z move in the original mainline games on the 3DS. Although not confirmed yet to be coming alongside Marshadow, Spectral Thief could be added to Pokemon GO with the GO Fest.
Despite being a relatively new Mythical Pokemon, Marshadow has its own share of fans and is quite popular among some, so for those that are still playing Pokemon GO, the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Ticket is a must-buy purchase as it will give them the Research Task to encounter with the Gloomdweller Pokemon, extra Raid Passes, an encounter with Jangmo-o, and many other unique exclusive perks. For myself, Marshadow is my favourite Mythical Pokemon, so obviously I’ve already purchased the ticket in advance and even got a new mobile phone just to be covered.
Exclusive Bonuses
Those who purchase the Ticket will get a few exclusive Bonus perks on the two big days. Here is the list of all these bonuses:
- Shiny encounter chances will be increased for players during the Pokemon GO Fest Global Event days. This will make the perfect combination with the mass spawn rates of the GO Fest Global event and players can get a variety of shinies.
- Players with the Ticket will be able to make six Special Trades on the event days.
- Players will also get the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Elite Collector Medal by completing the challenges set during the event days.
- Ticket holders will also get nine free Raid Passes when they spin discs at Gyms during the GO Fest Global.
- There will also be a lineup of special 7 KM eggs that Ticket holders will get.
These will go along with the three main bonuses of the GO Fest that will be available to all players around the world. There’s much to be gained from getting the ticket, and right now there’s plenty of time for players to think it through if they want to get the ticket or not until the big event and its prior Timed Research arrives.
Global Challenge
There will also be a global challenge for Ticket-holding Pokemon GO players on Saturday during each special Habitat Hour that will change during the event. If players will complete it in time, they’ll unlock an additional special bonus for the remainder of the habitat hour. This will allow players to get a ton of perks with each new habitat that will give their own variety of spawns. This will also stack with the rest of the bonuses from the ticket and ones that are freely active.
Exclusive Incense Encounters
There will be four total Habibats coming hour after hour in the Pokemon GO Fest Global, and for each one, Ticket holders will get exclusive Incense spawn encounters with Unown and a unique Pokemon. Here is a list of the encounters coming with each kind of Habitat:
- Dawn Meadow: Unown A, Unown D, Unown G, Unown H, Unown I, Unown N, Unown T, and Unown Y will spawn from Incenses. Additionally, Maractus will be a special spawn as well. Unowns will all have a chance to be shiny
- Shining Day: Unown A, D, G, H, I, N, T, Y and Corsola will spawn from Incenses during this habitat. Corsola will also have its shiny encounterable along with Unown.
- Creeping Dusk: Unown A, D, G, H, I, N, T, Y and Rockruff will spawn from Incenses with all their shiny forms also available.
- Darkest Night: Unown D, I, G, N, I, T, Y, A, H and Vullaby will spawn during this habitat hour alongside all of the shiny forms available as chance encounters from Incenses.
Not that the Daily Incense does not apply to these encounters, so it’s through normal incense that Ticket holders will get all these Pokemon. There are many good spawns to get through the GO Fest Global Ticket so there is some good incentive for players to opt to buy it.
Additional Rewards
Since most of the Pokemon including Marshadow come from Alola which is the region for Pokemon Sun and Moon and Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, The Sun Crown and the Moon Crown avatar items are themed around the GO Fest.
The first Timed Research can be redeemed by ticket owners between April 30 and May 6, giving the Sun Crown.
The second Timed Research can be gained between May 31 and June 6, giving the Moon Crown.
Both of these Timed Research Tasks will be available to Ticket owners on top of all the perks at the main GO Fest Global dates.
There is also news that there could be more rewards announced in the future for those who purchase the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Ticket. To have an encounter with Marshadow, bonus Raid Passes, special encounters, special Incense encounters and special bonuses, there is a lot that the ticket is offering for its money, so it could be worthwhile for players to grab it if they like.
The final choice rests on the players. There’s much to enjoy even without purchasing the ticket on to Global event days so every Pokemon GO player will get much out of playing the game and participating in this year’s biggest Pokemon GO event coming later in July.
Free Global Perks
There are many perks coming for completely free for all Pokemon GO players on Saturday and Sunday, July 13th and 14th in the GO Fest Global.
The first day will hold rotating Habitat Hours for all players, including special spawns and even Pikachu with brand new costumes themed around the GO Fest and the Pokemon Sun and Moon games. On Sunday, there will be free spawns in ample numbers everywhere. These will be the same spawns happening on the previous day, only they will all be spawning throughout the day.
Here is the list of the Habitats and some of the spawns they will include;
- Dawn Meadow: This Habitat Rotation will include Pikachu wearing a Sun Crown, Pidgey, Hoothoot, Hoppip, Girafarig, Wingull, Snivy, Cottonee, Axew, Heatmor, Inkay, Ferroseet and many more. All the mentioned and more will have their shiny forms available to encounter if players are lucky enough.
- Shining Day: Dratini, Charmander, Dunsparce, Sunkern, Hisuian Sneasel, Budew, Helioptile, Tyrunt, Fomantis, Jangmo-o and many more will spawn during this rotation. Many of these will have their shiny available in the game.
- Creeping Dusk: Pikachu wearing a Moon Crown, Eevee, Spinarak, Volbeat, Illumise, Gible, Emolga, Litwick, Golett, Durant, Espurr, Phantump, Grubbin and more will spawn during this habitat rotation, many of their shiny forms also encounterable.
- Darkest Night: Alolan Ratata, Sneasel, Gligar, Mudkip, Carvanha, Lunatone, Deino, Amaura, Carbink, Crabrawler, Morelull and many more will spawn during this rotation with most of these Pokemons’ shiny forms also available and encounterable.
All these special spawns in their habitats will be coming in their hourly rotation during the first day of the Pokemon GO Fest Global. The second day will not have the hourly rotation, so all of these Pokemon will spawn throughout the whole day. Furthermore, all of these Pokemon spawns will benefit from the exclusive special shiny encounter chance boost bonus that the Pokemon GO Fest 2024 Global Ticket is giving, so it’s definitely something to consider while thinking about skipping on purchasing the ticket.
Here’s a link to the Pokemon GO Web Store from where you can buy the ticket and even get a special additional Avatar item. If you’d not like to buy it from here, the Ticket is also viewable and purchasable from the ingame Shop tab, so check it out if you’re interested.
And so this is all that we know yet about the event coming in July to Pokemon GO. There’s still a full season left till the event arrives, so there’s much to enjoy in the game even before, and that gives plenty of time for players to consider purchasing the special Ticket to get all the exclusive rewards and perks to make the most of of the Pokemon GO Fest 2024.
