All that you need to know in detail regarding all new weapons, gunsmithing changes, and the latest features revealed in Modern Warfare 3.
Modern Warfare 3 at launch, and Pre-season will bring a jack load of 37 different weapons and 6 Aftermarket parts, to add to the 77 armaments being carried forward from Modern Warfare 2. This includes the 6 seasons of free weapon content as well. Modern Warfare 3 will have the largest selection of weaponry ever seen in any other Call of Duty game. This will give players the largest cache of armaments to set up their most unique load-outs.
Difference between MWII and MWIII Weapons
Modern Warfare 3 and Modern Warfare 2 weapons can be easily distinguishable in the Weapon Select menu. When a weapon is selected, players can see it on the top right-hand corner of the weapon tab. Modern Warfare 3 or Modern Warfare 2 logo should be there and easily differentiated.
What if you Missed Collecting Weapons in MW2?
In Modern Warfare 2, players had a chance to unlock all kinds of weapons from all 6 seasons, but if some weapons were not unlocked, not to worry. Those who have missed certain weapons or are new to the Modern Warfare world can simply unlock them by completing challenges in Multiplayer or extracting the weapon if you find it while killing zombies on a Modern Warfare Zombies session.
Weapon Balancing Done Right
Sledgehammer Games will make sure all Modern Warfare 2 weapons that will carry forward into Modern Warfare III will be adjusted and balanced. They will receive a weapon pass so none of the weapons get an advantage. The balancing pass will adjust damage ranges, damage values, and damage location multipliers such as the head, torso, or legs. Attachment value magnitudes such as reducing laser ADS speeds, also the attachment pros and cons values. This weapon pass is to make sure all new Modern Warfare 3 and Modern Warfare 2 Weapons are optimized to perform alongside each other. SledgeHammer Games will keep an eye out on the performance of each weapon from launch to tweak or buff where needed post-launch.
Previewing Weapons has never been faster
Players who want to preview weapons and adjust to Modern Warfare 2 must go through a short process. It wasn’t as easy as just seeing the weapon on the weapon selection tab previewing it, and adjusting it right away. Shortcut buttons are added to the user interface, they will run at the bottom of the screen allowing players to preview, equip, add attachments, or straight up enter a firing range to test it out all too easily.
