Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Reveal To Sizzle The Summer Of 2024

0

Well, it’s official, fellas; with the likes of Stellar Blade and now Lollipop Chainsaw Remake, it’s a jam-packed true return to form for gamin’ in 2024. With the likes of unique games with hot and cool heroines, it just feels great to be a gamer. We no longer have to suffer the cringe-inducin’, woefully unsightly, and terribly written dialogues of the worse female characters in video-games.

Thank heavens for that, ‘cause it’s been tough dealin’ with the nonsense of moral policing video games. But enough of that, let’s focus on the actual official bit of breadcrumb news surrounding this much-anticipated hype beast. Here we go!

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake Just Got A Major Tease By Its Producer, Yoshimi Yasuda

Remakes are such a hot trend right now, and we’re cautiously optimistic, too. Like if done right, there’re some really epic ones with fan service to boot. We have a bunch of classic games like Final Fantasy VII Rebirth that deserve the remake treatment. One, which we would’ve been fine with, if it didn’t get one, is the Lollipop Chainsaw Remake. Why? Well, ‘cause the OG is already perfect.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake.

But fast forward to 2024, we are gettin’ one, so nothin’ we can do except remain cautiously optimistic. So, then, what’s the lowdown for this one? Well, on the Japanese website Gematsu’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) page, there’s some news ‘bout Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, which is the official name for the remake.

So, here’s the deal. Basically, the designer for the remake, Yoshimi Yasuda, has said, ‘Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is almost here’. And much like the pawn chatter in Dragon’s Dogma II, he’s telling us to ‘ready yourselves’. So, while that means a reveal is imminent, it doesn’t mean the release, okay? So, it’s best to temper your expectations for this one, folks. But summer’s not far off; could be in June, July, or even August, but expect more news on this real soon.

Will The Original Team Return For Lollipop Chainshaw RePOP?

Ya’ know, gamers are skeptical of remakes ‘cause the OG’s still do a bang-up job of captivating them. It’s a tough act to follow. Let’s face it, even we’re guilty of this, too. If y’all look at our list of the most underrated action games that deserve remasters, you’ll see Chainsaw Lollipop in the top-tier category.

This is from the original game’s promo not the remake.

It’s over-the-top goofiness, the cheesy dialogue, the hot protagonist in a risque outfit, and a bubbly sweet-as-pie personality with satisfyin’ hack-and-slash combat, it’s all there. One of the reasons these wacky combinations were gelling so well was ’cause of Suda51. If y’all don’t know, he’s one of the legendary Japanese video game creators who was involved with the original Chainsaw Lollipop.

But, now here’s the question: Is he involved with the remake of Chainsaw Lollipop RePOP? That would be a big nope. Now, before y’all raise your hands for the ‘I’m done with this’ pose, hear us out. Remember the designer who dropped the tease? Yoshimi Yasuda? He’s from the original team, too. Now, that’s some form of reassurance, at least.

Will The Remake Be Uncensored For Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP?

Don’t get us wrong, there’re some major crapolas this year. With Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League, actually killing the Arkam Legacy, or Ubisoft’s laughable Skull & Bones that’s inferior to the decade-old Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, it’s been awful. But for every one of those, there’re dope titles like Stellar Blade (All You Need To Know) and Dragon’s Dogma II (What’s Different From The Original)

Now, though, we turn our attention to another banger in the makin’, the Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP. We’ll have to wait a while to see if it’s gonna measure up. But another burning question gamers have is, will the Lollipop Chainsaw Remake be as uncensored as the original? It’s a fair question, one that’s been on our minds, too.

The answer is: Yes! But, we will caveat that we don’t know how much. Also, not everyone’s like Atlus, who fumbled up the Persona 3 Reload DLC fiasco by lying ’bout it. But, really, as long as creative freedom is involved and the studio stands its ground, we believe the game’s in good hands. Why? Well, for one thing, it’s a passion project that’s loud, it’s got blood and gore, and it’s gonna turn heads when you see cover art for it. Also, the snowflakes who wanna tell you how to enjoy your games are definitely gonna have a meltdown, too. So, that’s a plus. Long story short: Yes, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is gonna be uncensored and it’s gonna rock most likely.

Final Thoughts

Well, there y’all have it, folks. Our coverage of the Lollipop Chainsaw Remake and the official news surrounding it. So, how excited are y’all for this one? Or are y’all nervous wrecks, worried the remake might not live up to your expectations? Tell us ‘bout it in the comments below, and while you’re at it, tell us your own favorite action games of all time. We’d love to compare notes and see what games others like.

Remakes are an easy escape these days for relyin’ on an established IP instead of creatin’ a new one. But that can backfire, too. Like, if y’all look at our review of the disappointing mediocrity of Alone In The Dark (2024), y’all are gonna notice it doesn’t always work out too well. But anyway, we’re hopeful that Chainsaw Lollipop RePOP’s gonna deliver. It’ll be fun, and if not, we’ll at least have fond memories of the original to soothe our achin’ hearts. Welp, until next time, take care, stay safe, and happy gaming, everybody!
