Pokemon GO is once again returning with another Community Day Classic heading to the game, this time with the Johto Region’s fluffy Electric Type sheep Pokemon, Mareep. Niantic has announced that this Community Day Classic will happen on Saturday, November 25th, from 2 PM to 5 PM this month.
Fluffy Mareep:
Mareep will make its way once again to the game in its next event alongside its evolutions Flaffy and Ampharos. The Community Day Classic Pokemon will be spawning in ample for three whole hours with a high shiny rate chance as always. Ampharos is a strong final evolution that is highly usable in Raids and battles in Pokemon GO so players are sure to add it to their roster if they don’t have it already. Regardless, everyone can look to manage a whole shiny evolution life for Mareep through this Community Day.
The Featured Community Day Classic Move for Mareep is a Dragon-Type this time around. Players that can get their Mareep to evolve into Flaffy and then into its final evolution Ampharos will have it learn the charged attack, Dragon Pulse. This is a very strong move that has a base 90 Attack Power in both Raids and Battles and also in Trainer Battles. Players only need to evolve Flaffy into Ampharos to teach it the move. There will be plenty of candy to gather with so many spawns of Mareep so evolving a good IV Mareep will be easy for players that participate in the event.
Bonuses:
The Community Day Classic comes with bonuses active for its whole duration to entice players to play on November 25th. The 4 bonuses for Mareep’s Community Day Classic are the following:
- Eggs incubated during the Community Day Classic event duration will have their hatching distance cut to 1/4th. This will provide a great opportunity for players to hatch eggs during the event.
- Incenses will last for 3 hours instead of the usual 1, excluding the Daily Free Incense.
- Lure Modules will attract Pokemon for 3 hours instead of the usual 1 allowing plenty of spawns for players playing close to gyms or pokestops.
- Snapshots in the game will give a surprise to players so be sure to take pictures of your buddy Pokemon and more during the Community Day Classic.
Field Research:
Event-themed Field Research will also be available on the Community Day which will give players a chance to encounter Mareep as well as useful rewards such as Great balls, Stardust and more.
Special Research Story:
A special purchasable Research Story ticket will also be available for $1 which will give players an exclusive Research based on the Community Day Classic. These will go live in Pokemon GO soon so interested players can check the ingame store later to buy them. They can also buy it as a gift for other players that are added ingame and are Great Friends or higher.
Showcases:
Pokestop showcases will also be live on the event day where players can look to get super-sized Mareep to get some exclusive Pokestop Showcase rewards as well.
Shop Offers:
With the event coming our way, there are also coming some new special offers for the event ingame and also on the Pokemon GO webstore.
For the ingame Shop, players will be able to buy similar boxes that were available on this month’s normal Community Day that featured Wooper. They are the following;
A bundle box for 1350 ingame Pokemon Go currency coins will come with 50 Ultra balls, 5 Super Incubators, 1 Elite Charged TM and 5 Lucky Eggs.
A Cheaper box for 480 coins will give players 30 Ultra balls, 1 Incense, 3 Super Incubators and 1 Lure Module.
The Pokemon GO Webstore will also host a bundle for $9.99 USD that will have 500 Poke balls, 1 Poffin and 3 Lucky Eggs.
If players want some extra goodies to help out in Pokemon GO, they can think about buying these.
Overall, it’s looking nice for the month of November as there are consistent events going on in Pokemon GO and players wouldn’t have it any other way. The game is fun to play and is looking like a solid app to have on mobile phones as we enter the last month of 2023. Niantic have also shared news of dates of the next Community Days and Community Day Classics so there is plenty to look forward to in the upcoming months as well as we enter the Holiday Season and then the next year.
