CoD Mobile Season 4: Release Date, Weapon Changes, & More

The fourth Season of CoD Mobile is on the horizon and ready to shake things up in the title. Not only is it bringing a whole range of new content but major weapon changes are also coming in the next update. Here’s what we know about its release date and other major additions so far.

Although CoD Mobile is currently in its third season, the developers have begun dropping hints about Season 4 already. Generally, in a new season, the chances of brand new content are always fifty-fifty. But Season 4 will most definitely give players a slew of exciting new content to enjoy. Now, in terms of new additions to the map inventory or weapons list, we don’t have anything specific at the time. However, we do have an estimated release date along with a list of some major changes coming to weapons. So without any further ado let’s get started.

Latest Maps In CoD Mobile Season 4

Undeniably, the fourth season of CoD Mobile will certainly be receiving a few new maps. However, the details of these newbies are still unknown. Nonetheless, we do have an update of one iconic map making its way back to CoD Mobile in Season 4.

That is the all-time fan-favorite Modern Warfare 3’s Dome but of course with some changes to its old look. Instead of the old sunny and radiant design, the new look features a more deserted and lifeless kind of a place. Although Dome is the first confirmed map of Season 4, we can’t say for sure whether it will go live at the launch or not. However, we will keep you guys in the loop as soon as any confirmation comes in this regard.

Weapon Changes Coming In CoD Mobile Season 4

Weapon balancing is perhaps one of the most crucial parts of the Season 4 update. As the devs are planning to shake things up in the meta significantly. Moving on, almost every weapon is going to experience a change in some manner. However, according to an April 30 community update, five of the six weapon types are going to get some specific changes.

The handling and recoil control of Assault Rifles will get better. LMGs will have improved accuracy at range. Similarly, the damage and mobility of SMGs will increase as well. While Marksman Rifles will get more agile, Snipers will be a bit less efficient at close range. Although this might seem like a lot already, we have merely touched the tip of the iceberg.

Talking more specifically, 12 weapons were listed in the blog post that are destined to receive a buff or nerf in the upcoming seasonal update. As the above-mentioned changes are just a teaser. Major weapon balancing is yet to come. So players are definitely going to see a completely different meta in Season 4. All in all, a complete breakdown of confirmed weapon changes coming to the meta in CoD Mobile Season 4 as per the community update is given below.

HG 40

Old Stats

  • Highest Damage – 25 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 23 damage at 10-24 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 17 damage at 24 meters range or further

News Stats

  • Highest Damage – 26 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 24 damage at 10-15 meters range
  • Third Highest – 20 damage at 15-25 meters range or further
  • Lowest Damage – 17 damage at 25 meters range or further

Although the HG 40 was once a very loved SMG, it lost its charm over the course of time. Most probably because of its low accuracy and a little less damage in comparison to other SMGs in the title. So understandably, the HG 40 will be getting a significant increase in terms of the damage it deals. This will probably bring this old champ back to the game.

Type 25

  • Highest Damage – 0-10 meters range (increased range)
  • Second Highest – 10-17 meters range (increased range)
  • Third Highest – 17-25 meters range (decreased range)
  • Lowest Damage – 25 meters range or further (decreased range from 30m to 25m)
  • Increased the basic bullet spread (base weapon)
  • Light Barrel (short)
    • Increased bullet spread
    • Decreased ADS speed
  • Stopping Power Reload (mag)
    • Increased spread
    • Decreased the negative effects of reload speed

The Type 25 will get better at close ranges which will be another upside for the weapon given that it has high mobility. Similarly, the ADS speed is also increased and the bullet trajectory is also more dependable now.

BK57

  • Highest Damage – 0-18 meters range (increased range)
  • Second Highest – 18-30 meters range (both increased and decreased range)
  • Lowest Damage – 30 meters range or further (decreased range from 35m to 30m)
  • OWC Ranger – Decreased movement speed penalty (buff)
  • Elite Foregrip
    • Decreased movement speed penalty (buff)
    • Helps push the weapon from close range to medium range
  • ADS Speed Improved
  • Optimized horizontal recoil, which increases bullet spread

The middle range damage of the BK57 won’t trigger until 18 meters. Similarly, the weapon will now become more efficient at longer ranges and deal more damage at close ranges as well. Now, there are some nerfs coming to this weapon but as a whole, it will be improved in the next update.

RPD

Old Stats

  • Highest Damage – 26 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 21 damage at 10-45 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 20 damage at 45 meters range or further

New Stats

  • Highest Damage – 31 damage at 0-20 meters range
  • Second Highest – 23 damage at 20-55 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 18 damage at 55 meters range or further

The RPD will experience a buff in terms of damage dealt at all ranges except the longest range. As the longest range damage will be nerfed. The second major change is the trajectory of the weapon, the longer the range gets the harder it will be to land bullets on target.

MSMC

  • Highest Damage – 0-8 meters range (increased range)
  • Second Highest – 8-14 meters range (increased range)
  • Third Highest – 14-19 meters range (increased range)
  • Lowest Damage – 19 meters range or further (increased range from 17m to 19m)

Not only will the firing range experience a buff but the ADS speed of the weapon will also be increased on different attachments such as OWC Ranger and OWC Marksman. Similarly, the recoil of the weapon will reduce and the reload speed will increase.

QXR

  • Highest Damage – 0-8 meters range (same as original)
  • Second Highest – 8-15 meters range (increased range)
  • Third Highest – 15-25 meters range (increased range)
  • Lowest Damage – 25 meters range or further (increased range from 17m to 25m)

Almost everything in this SMG will stay the same except an increase in the amount of damage at close range. But to balance that out, bullet speed has been nerfed a bit. However, it will have a better recoil pattern and control.

PDW-57

  • Highest Damage – 0-6 meters range (increased range)
  • Second Highest – 6-15 meters range (increased range)
  • Third Highest – 15-28 meters range (consolidated)
  • Lowest Damage – 28 meters range or further (same range)

In addition to the enhancement in the firing ranges, the hip-fire accuracy, mobility, bullet spread and bullet trajectory of the PDW-57 will also be buffed.

HBRa3

  • Highest Damage – 0-13 meters range (increased range)
  • Second Highest – 13-25 meters range (consolidated range)
  • Lowest Damage – 25 meters range or further (decreased range from 35m to 25m

Although this fan-favorite assault rifle is getting a buff in terms of ADS speed and a reduction in the horizontal recoil, the bullet spread of the weapon will increase which is an obvious downside.

Akimbo .50s GS

Given the fact that .50 GS have been very powerful in the previous season especially with the dual-wielding. On top of that, the Akimbo .50 GS also has the best mobility among all sidearms. Similarly, the hip-fire accuracy, damage, short TTK, and fire rate of the weapon are also very high. Making it a deadly weapon even from a long distance. So the following changes are going to nerf the Akimbo .50 GS to the level of other sidearms in the meta.

  • Overall mobility decreased
  • Hip fire spread increased by 35%
  • Firing speed increased from 0.36s to 0.43s

KN-44

  • OWC Marksman
    • ADS Movement speed penalty decreased (buff)
    • Movement speed penalty decreased (buff)
  • Reload Speed slightly increased
  • Increased the damage magnification above the waist of enemies
  • Optimized horizontal recoil, which results in a slight bullet spread increase
  • Highest Damage – 0-20 meters range (same range)
  • Second Highest – 20-33 meters range (decreased range)
  • Lowest Damage – 33 meters range or further (decreased range from 40m to 30m)
  • Strike Stock – ADS Movement Speed penalty increased (nerf)

As KN-44 is already among the most efficient long-range assault rifles, these changes will make it more strong at ranges. However, due to the second-highest damage, it will become a little less effective at 40 meters.

M4LMG

Old Stats

  • Highest Damage – 31 damage at 0-10 meters range
  • Second Highest – 24 damage at 10-30 meters range
  • Third Highest – 22 damage at 30-50 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 21 damage at 50 meters range or further

New Stats

  • Highest Damage – 32 damage at 0-20 meters range
  • Second Highest – 23 damage at 20-55 meters range
  • Lowest Damage – 19 damage at 50 meters range or further

Just like the RPD, the M4LMG will become more effective in terms of dealing damage at close ranges. You won’t have to be as close to the target as you used to be to do maximum damage. Hence making is a bit weak on long ranges and more strong on mid-short ranges.

Man-O-War

Man-O-War is often referred to as a 3 shot rifle because of its low fire rate but high damage. This long-range assault rifle will be getting both buffs and nerfs. The range will stay constant but its damage will decrease at close ranges.

  • Damage increased at the closest range (stronger in close combat)
  • ADS speed increased (nerf – takes longer to ADS)
  • Accuracy enhanced

CoD Mobile Season 3 will come to an end on May 26 which means that Season 4 will immense on May 27. Giving us a few more weeks until the next big update arrives in CoD Mobile. All things said, only time can tell how the next season will unfold and how these weapon changes will affect the game. Stay tuned for further updates on the fourth season of CoD Mobile.
