Respawn Entertainment is always looking for new ways to make their battle royale games, Apex Legends even better. Since the game’s release in February 2019, the developers have added a lot of new content. Most of this content arrived in the game through a total of seven new seasons. And in only a few days, players will get to enjoy Season 8.
Apex Legends Season 8
Apex Legends Season 8 was confirmed a while ago. The upcoming season will add Fuse as the newest Legend. He is an explosive expert and his abilities will focus on throwing grenades and bombs. The next season is also going to bring a new weapon to the game, called the 30-30 Repeater. This weapon is from Salvo, the same place from where Fuse comes from.
While we have a good idea about what Apex Legends Season 8 is going to feature, there are some other things that the developers are slowly revealing. The latest thing to get revealed for Season 8 is Gold Mags. For those who don’t know, Gold loot in Apex is the highest tier loot. The thing which makes it special is that every Gold item features something unique. For instance, the Gold Shield will double the effect of a syringe or a shield cell.
Gold Mags Confirmed
The gameplay trailer for Apex Legends Season 8 will go live in 12 hours. The YouTube Channel of the game has set up a countdown for it. However, in the chatbox where players discuss stuff while they wait for the video to become available, the developers decided to share another exciting thing about the new season.
“Fuse arrives in Season 8, and he’s packing plenty of attitude — and things that go boom. Pick apart the opposition with the Salvo’s most popular weapon, the lever-action 30-30 Repeater. Explore an obliterated Kings Canyon reshaped by Fuse’s arrival.” The developers continued, “Look out for Gold Magazines, capable of automatically reloading holstered weapons. Plus grab the latest Battle Pass and blast through the competition in Ranked. Ready to master the mayhem?”
As you can see above, Gold Mags will become available in Season 8 right after it goes live. However, there were some players who were concerned about the Gold Mags being too overpowered. But a developer on Reddit explained how they will work.
As per him, there will be a good delay before your holstered weapon will get reloaded. In addition to this, you see a quick popup on the screen followed by a sound that will let you know if your holstered weapon is ready to use. The developer also confirmed that they will change the delay time if players don’t find it long enough.
Apex Legends Season 8 goes live on February 2. There is still a week left in its release, so the developers might end up revealing more stuff about it soon.
