Apex Legends Season 8: Everything We Know So Far

February is just around the corner, meaning that Apex Legends players will soon get to enjoy Season 8. The upcoming season will go love during the first week of the said month, and players will be able to enjoy a plethora of new content right after it happens. Today, we are going to talk about everything we know about Apex Legends Season 8 so far.

Respawn Entertainment releases a new season for their battle royale after every few months. So far, a total of seven seasons have been released since February 2019. Each season has added a lot of new content to the game, such as cosmetic items, weapons, Legends, and much more. Two of them also introduced new maps to the game.

Apex Legends Season 8

Right now, every Apex Legends player is looking forward to jumping into Season 8. The next season was announced recently through a gameplay trailer, which has further increased the hype for it. Judging from what we saw in it, Season 8 will be massive.

New Legend – Fuse

Just like every other season, the next one is also going to add a new Legend to the game. There were many rumors and speculations going around during the past few months about who the next Legend is going to be. And as most of them indicated, Fuse will be joining the game’s list of Legends in Season 8.

For those who don’t know, Fuse is from Salvo, and judging from what we saw in the trailer, he seems like a person who’s always looking for adventure. As per his official reveal, Fuse is an explosive Legend and his abilities will revolve around blowing things up. For instance, as seen in Apex Legends Season 8 trailer, the Legend can fire grenades from his arm, which seems to be his Tactical ability.

We also saw that Fuse dropped a giant bomb which exploded into flames. While the developers haven’t confirmed it, this seems to be his Ultimate. As for his Passive, we currently have no clue about it. But since he’s an explosive Legend, he might receive less grenade damage as compared to other Legends because of his Passive.

New Weapon – 30-30 Repeater

The second most exciting thing about Apex Legends Season 8 is the new weapon it’s bringing on board. Everyone was wondering whether the next season will feature a new weapon or not. This is because there have been times when the developers have decided not to add a weapon through a new season. However, this is not the case with Season 8 as it will be adding the 30-30 Repeater to the game’s arsenal.

The 30-30 Repeater is from Salvo as well and Fuse thought it won’t be a good idea to leave it behind. We got to see it in action during the gameplay trailer, where Fuse used it to make his grenades explode. At the moment, it is believed that the 30-30 Repeater is going to use Heavy Ammo. However, some also believe that the weapon will require Sniper Ammo or a new ammo type. In any case, you will need to spend some time with it in the firing range and learn how to control it. This is because it has a lever-action mechanism, and one missed shot will put you in a difficult situation.

Changes to Kings Canyon

The gameplay trailer also confirmed that Apex Legends Season 8 is going to feature a bunch of new map changes. As seen in the trailer, Kings Canyon received a lot of damage thanks to Fuse’s arrival. Locations such as Slum Lakes and Artillery got destroyed completely, and they will be replaced by new POIs. This also confirms that Kings Canyon will make a return in Season 8. It is yet to be known whether World’s Edge and Olympus will receive any changes or not.

Anniversary Collection Event

The next season will also feature an Anniversary Collection Event. This will happen on February 4 most likely considering the game was released on this date. The new event is going to feature a lot of content and will allow players to unlock an Heirloom Set easily.

Apex Legends Season 8 will go live on February 2. We’ll make sure to update you if there’s another announcement regarding it.
