Warzone Season 1 – Tips For Winning The Gulag

Call of Duty: Warzone is currently one of the most played battle royale games out there. The game is played by millions of players every month and this number keeps on increasing every day. The developers have done a remarkable job with it as it offers the perfect battle royale experience.

Recently, after staying linked to Modern Warfare since March, Warzone shifted to Black Ops Cold War. The shift resulted in the game receiving its Season 1 update, which added a lot of new content to the game. This even included a new map called Rebirth Island, which is smaller as compared to Verdansk. But along with adding new content, the update also made changes to various aspects of the game, including the Gulag.

Warzone Season 1 Gulag Tips

For those who don’t know, if you die in Warzone, you’ll get sent to the Gulag. This is the place where you will get the chance to fight for your life. Basically, you will be put in a 1v1 match against a random player who got eliminated as well, and the winner gets sent back to the match. However, while this may sound like an easy task, it actually isn’t. This is why today, we are going to talk about how to win in the Gulag in Warzone Season 1. Keep in mind that the tips are for both the original Gulag and the Season 1 Nuketown.

Learn The Weapon Pool

Since Warzone was released, players have requested the developers to increase the number of weapons in the Gulag. Some of them even asked them to allow players to choose from a custom loadout, but that would obviously ruin the concept of Gulag, that is to make the best use of the given items. But while they haven’t increased the weapon pool, they have done something even better. Now, there will be a total of four weapon sets, with every week offering one of them.

The new sets will include a variety of weapons, including Assault Rifles and SMG. If you happen to get your hands on the ARs, then it will be wise to take advantage of the things around you. You’ll need to stay in cover and aim down your sight towards the point from where your enemy will come from. If you fail to do this, then you will most likely get eliminated before you even get the chance to aim down sight.

On the other hand, if you get an SMG, then you will need to get as close as possible to your enemy. This is because SMGs are deadly in close-ranged combat and can help you bag in a kill quickly. Although they can also work in mid-ranged combat, a lot of risks will be involved. Therefore, in order to make sure you don’t miss any shot, try to get it as soon as possible.

Edges Are Your Best Friend

The original Gulag map, as well as the Nuketown one, are small. This isn’t surprising considering they are built for a 1v1 combat experience. Because of this reason, it won’t be a wise thing to wander around the center of the map as you’ll become an easy target that way. Instead, stick to the edges of the map and keep your gun pointing towards the front. In addition to this, make sure to keep your field-of-view wide to avoid any flanks.

Be Careful With The Flag

If you fail to take down your opponent within 15 seconds, an objective will pop up at the center of the map. Basically, anyone who captures this objective (flag) will be declared the winner of the Gulag. If no one captures the flag within the time limit, then the one with more health wins.

The thing about capturing the flag is that it isn’t as easy as it sounds. This is because your enemy will most likely camp near the area and wait for you to take the bait. But one thing you need to keep in mind is that as soon as you touch the flag, your health will get regenerate to full. Therefore, first, make sure the area is clear and then make a move for the flag.

These were some tips that can help you win the Gulag in Warzone Season 1. Make sure to improve your aim as well as this can also help you a lot.
