Apex Legends Season 8: Will We See Kings Canyon Again?

Apex Legends Season 8: Will We See Kings Canyon Again?

Apex Legends players are eagerly waiting for the next season to arrive. The current season was well received by players because it introduced a bunch of new content. Aside from a new Legend and some more content, the developers also added a new map called Olympus in Season 7. This new map totally changed the battle royale experience, and players absolutely love it. However, with the addition of the new map, Respawn also removed an old one.

Kings Canyon in Apex Legends

Kings Canyon was the first map of Apex Legends. Since the game’s release, it served as the main arena for players to test out their skills. Later on, in Season 3, Respawn introduced a new map called World’s Edge and removed Kings Canyon. However, in Season 4, the developers decided to bring it back, with both of them being available in rotation.

Fast forward to Season 7, Olympus got added and Kings Canyon faced the same fate again. At the moment, both Olympus and World’s Edge are available in the game, with the first map currently removed. However, it is currently believed that Kings Canyon will be making a return in Apex Legends Season 8.

When Will it Return?

At the moment, Respawn is yet to talk about when Kings Canyon will make a return. When Season 7 was released, the developers claimed that they will be vaulting Kings Canyon for the time being and failed to provide an exact date for its return. However, judging from what happened previously, it is highly possible that the map will return in Season 8. This is because when it was first removed in Season 3, the developers brought it back in Season 4.

One thing to keep in mind here is that if Kings Canyon does make a return in Season 8, one of the current two maps might get vaulted. Since Olympus is fairly a new map, World’s Edge will be gone away for a while. However, nothing can be said for sure at the moment as the developers might not decide to bring it back after all.

Apex Legends Season 8 is currently expected to go live on February 1. This is because the current season will conclude on the same day. The upcoming season is expected to bring a lot of new content to the game. However, Season 9 is going to be the most exciting one as it is going to feature “unexpected things.”
