Apex Legends Season 7 is all set to go live in only after a few days. Everyone is pretty excited about it as they just can’t wait to try out the new Legend called Horizon. Furthermore, the upcoming season is also bringing a new map with it, and this is going to make things even more exciting. But along with a lot of content, it seems like the seventh season is going to make some game changes as well.
Apex Legends In-game Changes
For those who don’t know, Respawn Entertainment has a habit of making different changes to Apex with each season. We have previously seen this happen such as different weapons and Legends getting either buffed or nerfed. However, in the last few seasons, the devs have been constantly making changes to care packages.
Earlier, we saw that the Devotion LMG was removed as regular floor loot and was placed inside the care package. The devs even decided to replace Mastiff with Peacekeeper, something which made a lot of players disappointed. The latest change was for R-99, which is considered as one of the top weapons Apex has to offer. This SMG was made a care package weapon only, and Respawn introduced the Volt SMG as its replacement.
R-99 Is Making A Return
The Volt SMG was well received by everyone, but it is still no match for the R-99. The light ammo hungry SMG is something that can help you take down your enemy within seconds. This is one of the reasons why it has always remained a fan favorite weapon. And now, you will be excited to know that the SMG will be making a return to floor loot in Season 7.
Apex Legends game director, Chad Grenier confirmed this in a media briefing that the R-99 is getting taken out of the care packages. This means that we’ll finally get to see our favorite SMG back on the floor. The game director further mentioned that Prowler will be taking its place in the care package. What we don’t know is whether Respawn is going to make some changes to it before placing it on the floor again, or will it return with its previous form. All will be confirmed when the seventh season goes live.
Apex Legends Season 7 will be out on November 4. Players will also get to see vehicles for the first time through it. In addition to this, there will be plenty of new cosmetic items available through the in-game store.
