Apex Legends players are eagerly waiting for the seventh season to arrive, which is being called Ascension. This new season is going to change the game entirely as it will be bringing a lot of content to the game. This includes a new Legend, a new map, and much more. In addition to this, for the first time in Apex’s history, we will be seeing vehicles.
Apex Legends Season 7 Content
While we wait for the next season to arrive, the developers have decided to share its patch notes. These patch notes give us an idea about everything that is coming to Apex Legends in Season 7. Judging from what has been revealed, the game will definitely become better once this update goes live.
New Legend: Horizon
Respawn always introduces a new Legend with each season. This time, Horizon will be joining the game’s roster of Legends. Instead of releasing some in-game teasers to reveal her identity, Respawn introduced her directly through the firing range. Since then, all of us have been eagerly waiting for her arrival.
Horizon is a different Legend as her ability involves science. From what we’ve seen so far, she is fond of playing around with gravity. He abilities are pretty amazing as they can help you move around from here to there quickly.
To begin with, Horizon’s Passive is called Spacewalk and it increases her air control and reduces fall impact. Her Tactical is called Gravity Lift, something through which she can lift herself and her teammates upward. Finally, we have her Ultimate ability called Black Hole through which she can create a micro black hole that will pull enemies inside it.
New Map: Olympus
Olympus is going to be the newest map of Apex Legends. It was previously rumored that it was going to be a part of Season 6. But Respawn had some other plans as they have made it the main highlight of Season 7. This new map is really different from the other two maps and offers a really amazing environment to play. A data miner also recently managed to leak all of its points of interest, through which we can get a closer look at what we’ll be getting. As per the official description, Olympus offers rotating agricultural towers, beautiful gardens, and classy restaurants.
For the first two weeks, players will be able to play in Olympus only. Once the time period is over, things will go back to a normal rotation between Olympus and World’s Edge. As for Kings Canyon, Respawn has confirmed that it will be gone away for the time being. In addition to this, there will be a separate mode called Olympus Preview that will allow you to explore the map along with 30 other Legends. This is something that will help you with seeing the locations, learning map rotations, and more.
New Vehicles: The Trident
As mentioned above, players will be seeing vehicles for the first time in Apex Legends. These new vehicles are called the Trident, and we recently made a post about their locations. The best part about these vehicles is that they can be customized using various abilities. For instance, Gibraltar can place his Shield Dome on it to give it a layer of protection. Furthermore, Rampart can place her Sheila at the back of it.
The Trident will be available in Olympus only. We currently don’t know whether the developers have any plans to add them to World’s Edge or not. However, they are going to make things a lot more fun for sure.
New Battle Pass
Apex Legends Season 7 will introduce a brand new battle pass that will feature exciting new items. However, this time, challenges will work in a different way. Instead of earning points, you will acquire stars upon completing a challenge. Every challenge will offer 1 to 5 stars, depending upon its difficulty, and collecting 10 stars will unlock the next Battle Pass level.
Clubs will also become a part of the game once Season 7 goes live. These clubs will allow players to create their own communities and compete with others. In other words, you will be able to build your own empire.
These were some things that were mentioned in the patch notes. You can read the full notes here to learn everything. Apex Legends Season 7 will go live today. Make sure to spend some time in the firing range to test everything out before jumping into the main action.
