Apex Legends Horizon Guide – Abilities and Tips

Apex Legends Season 7 has added a new Legend to the game, Horizon. This new Legend loves to play around with gravity and has some amazing abilities in her arsenal. She can launch herself in the air, and can even deploy a black hole in the middle of nowhere.

Apex Legends Horizon Abilities

The thing about Horizon is that some players were thinking of her as an extremely powerful character. I used to think this too, but this isn’t the case at all. Her abilities are great and all but they aren’t that powerful. Still, if you use them properly, then you get an advantage over your enemies. Today, we are going to talk about Horizon’s abilities along with when and how you should be using them. Just like every other Legend, this one also has a total of three abilities.

Passive Ability

To begin with, Horizon’s Passive ability is called Spacewalk. If you’re a fan of engaging every enemy you see, then this ability might become your favorite one. This is because it eliminates the stun effect you get from falling. Instead of taking a moment to get back on your feet after falling from a great distance, Horizon will instantly get ready to engage.

Another amazing thing about her Passive is that it allows Horizon to move more freely in the air. However, this doesn’t mean that you can roam around while being in the air. Another thing to keep in mind is that only Horizon will have the benefit of engaging an enemy right after falling and your teammates will have to go through the standard procedure.

Tactical Ability

Next up, we have Horizon’s Tactical ability called Gravity Lift. This is yet another amazing ability that can be used in multiple situations. As it launches you in the air, you can use it to reach higher ground quickly. Furthermore, you can also use it to launch your enemies in the air if they get close to you. The best part about it is that you will have to wait for only 5 seconds to use it again.

Gravity Lift can also function as a temporary trap for your enemies. Just like you can place Octane’s Jump Pad at the front of a door, you can also place the Gravity Lift to prevent your enemies from coming in. Furthermore, you can use it to dodge Bangalore and Gibraltar’s airstrike by going in the air. Another amazing thing about the Gravity Lift is that it will also throw away any incoming grenades, something that can help you out in a critical situation.

Ultimate Ability

Finally, we have Horizon’s Ultimate ability called Black Hole. Everyone got hyped up after this ability was first revealed in the Legend’s reveal trailer. Basically, Horizon can create a black hole wherever she wants to by using her bot called NEWT. She basically throws it and after about half a second, the bot creates a black hole.

This ability is pretty amazing, but only for certain situations. Its most creative use it to deploy it near where enemies are hiding as it will pull them out of cover. However, keep in mind that characters such as Pathfinder, Octane, and Wraith can use their abilities to escape its affect. After you use it, you will need o wait around 120 seconds for it to charge. Therefore, make sure to only use it when needed.

Best Teammates for Horizon

In my opinion, Horizon can be paired with almost every Legend. This is because her abilities don’t really get in anyone’s way. If you want her to always stay on the move, then it will be wise to pair her with Octane and Pathfinder. If you want to have a stealthier approach, then Wraith and Mirage can do this job well.

This was our guide for Apex Legends’ newest character, Horizon. We hope that it is going to help you out. In the coming months, we can expect Respawn to either buff or nerf her, depending upon the feedback they receive from the community. Season 7 did end up making some changes to various Legends and weapons. If you haven’t seen them, then we’ll suggest you take a look at the patch notes.
