Call of Duty fans are currently looking forward to playing the next installment in the series, Black Ops Cold War. The game is all set to release on November 13 and it is going to be amazing. However, what some players don’t know is that they can get a taste of the game through a beta that will be held in October.
Betas are something that help players with deciding whether they should purchase the full game or not. We get to try out some part of the game, such as a single map and a few weapons. Just like it happened with the previous Call of Duty games, Black Ops Cold War will also have its own beta. However, not everyone can access it as you’ll need a code for it.
How To Access Black Ops Cold War Beta
If you’re interested in trying out Black Ops Cold War Beta, then you should know that there are two ways to enter it. The first method is simple and is guaranteed to give you access to the beta. If you pre-order the game digitally, then you’ll get the luxury to try out the beta regardless of which platform you are on. However, you should keep in mind that the code will be given to only those who are pre-ordering digitally, not to those who are opting for physical copies.
If you are unable to pre-order the game, then there is another method through which you can get the beta code. On Sunday, August 30, Activision is going to hand over 10,000 beta codes during the Call of Duty League Championship weekend. In order to participate in the giveaway, your Activision account should be linked to Callofdutyleague.com.
Black Ops Cold War Beta Release Date
At the moment, Activision is yet to confirm exactly when the beta is going to go live. However, some leaks might have given away the early access release date. Some lucky players who pre-ordered the Arabic version of the game were met with a page that revealed the date. As per the leaked image, the beta will go live on October 8. Activision previously confirmed that PS4 users will enjoy the beta 5 days before anyone else. So we can expect the beta to become available on other platforms starting October 13.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is easily one of the most anticipated games of 2020. The game is said to feature the most customize campaign experience and will run on a different and better engine. This means that we’ll get to see much better graphics compared to 2019’s Modern Warfare.
