Respawn Entertainment has done a remarkable job of introducing a wide range of different weapons in Apex Legends. Some weapons were present during the launch of the game, while others were added through different updates. At the moment, Apex features multiple types of weapons, such as Assault Rifles, SMGs, Sniper Rifles, and some more. The thing which some players don’t realize is that there are some weapons that don’t seem that much powerful, but have a lot of hidden potentials.
Three Underrated Weapons in Apex Legends
The developers have a habit of introducing different changes to weapons through various updates. We have seen a lot of nerfs and buffs since the game’s release, through which the developers have either increased or decreased the power of certain weapons. While it always seems like a good option to use the overpowered weapons to get an advantage over other players, there are times when you should be picking up weapons you once ignored. Today, we will be talking about the three most underrated weapons in Apex.
The P2020 is one of the least picked weapons in all of Apex. Most players think that this weapon is only useful at times when you just can’t find another weapon. This is true considering the P2020 isn’t going to do you any good when you’re facing off against someone who has a Flatline in his hand. But wait, there is something that most players don’t know about it.
The P2020 can be paired with the Hammerpoint Rounds Hop-Up, something which makes it extremely deadly. In fact, the Hammerpoint Rounds can bring down an unshielded opponent in only a few shots. What you should do is break the shield of your opponent by using a primary weapon such as the R-301 Carbine, and then use the P2020 paired with the Hammerpoint Rounds to finish him off. Landing shots with this pistol is extremely easy as well considering it has great hip-fire accuracy.
If you’ve noticed, the EVA-8 is only found on players during the early stages of the game. It is a rare case we get to see this weapon in the mid-final stages because no one likes to carry it around a lot. As soon as players spot a Mastiff or Peacekeeper, they don’t waste a single second to switch it up. However, what some players don’t realize is that this weapon is absolutely deadly in close-ranged combat.
The thing I personally love about the EVA-8 is how quickly it fires. In fact, its speed is further increased when paired with the Epic Shotgun Bolt. If you can manage to land your shots accurately, then you will take your opponent down within a few shots. If you manage to get your hands on the Double Tap Trigger for it, then things will become even better as you’ll be carrying around a lethal weapon.
The Havoc Rifle was once used by many players, but it became an unpopular choice after the introduction of other weapons. The thing which most players hate about this weapon is its charge-up nature. Instead of firing instantly, the Havoc Rifle takes a little time to starts firing. This is something that can put you at a disadvantage during gunfights. But if you give this weapon a chance, then you will be able to take down opponents at a distance.
For those who don’t know, the Havoc Rifle offers high bullet velocity, something that can help you bag in some kills at a distance. If you pair it with a Turbocharger, then this weapon can become the worst enemy of players running at a distance. If you can ignore its charge-up nature, then you should definitely give this rifle a try.
These were the three most underrated weapons in Apex Legends. Keep in mind that the choice will vary from player to player. Some will find these weapons underrated, while others might have something else in mind. Respawn Entertainment also recently added the Volt SMG to the game through Season 6. The Volt SMG was previously believed to arrive in Season 4, but it even failed to arrive in the fifth one. However, the wait was worth it considering it is a popular pick in Season 6, and players are absolutely enjoying playing with it.
