It’s been around a week since Apex Legends’ newest season, Boosted went live and players are absolutely enjoying it. The newest season has brought a plethora of content to the game, such as different map changes, a new legend, new cosmetic items, and much more. Today, we’ll be talking about everything that’s new in Apex Legends season 6.
Apex Legends Season 6
To begin with, the first thing you should know is that the sixth season failed to introduce a new map to the game. For those who don’t know, there were many rumors and speculations going around that the new season is going to feature Olympus as a new map. This happened after Lifeline suggested they should go to a new planet at the end of season 5. However, instead of a new map, all we got are some new map changes.
Respawn has decided to take the Mirage Voyage away in the sixth season and has completely dismantled the train. You can find different parts of it throughout the map which can grant you some amazing loot. Just west of The Dome, we have a new location called the Launch Site, which is the latest hot spot of World’s Edge. Drill Site has been replaced by Countdown, while different other areas have received some major changes.
Crafting is easily the biggest thing to get introduced in Apex Legends season 6. It has totally changed how the game works. This new feature basically allows players to “build something better” if they are unable to find some proper loot. In simpler words, they must collect materials from all around the map, and the visit a Replicator to acquire something, including the Devotion LMG, Medkits, Shield Upgrade, and much more.
The process is really simple as you don’t even need a lot of materials to craft something. The only thing you need to worry about is enemy teams. Replicators are the only place where crafting can happen, which is why there are always some enemies nearby them. It can take some seconds to fully craft something, which is why we’ll suggest you to always stay on guard. It will be a big mistake if your entire team starts crafting something at the same time.
New Legend “Rampart”
The thing which leaves almost every player excited for a new season is Legends. For those who don’t know, Respawn has a habit of introducing a new Legend with every season. However, they only bring one character on board per season, which is why we have seen only six new ones since the game’s release. As for season 6, it has introduced Rampart to the game.
Rampart is one of those Legends who were leaked by data miners months ago. At first, it was believed that Rampart is a male character who can put his opponents in a difficult position. However, after a while, some recent leaks suggested that Rampart is actually a female character, something that was confirmed through season 6’s official trailer.
Rampart has entered the Apex Games after her modding shop was attacked by a group of bandits. They burned it to the ground and left the expert modder with nothing. However, while everything got burned, she still had her hands on an Apex Card. Through it, she has managed to make her way to the greatest arena to test her skills against some of the toughest people.
First, we have her tactical ability called Amped Cover. This allows her to build a cover that protects Rampart and her teammates from incoming shots while boosting the damage of outgoing shots. Her Passive is called Modder Loader and it grants her the luxury to load LMG’s faster. In addition to this, it also increases the magazine capacity of her LMG’s. Finally, we have her Ultimate Ability called Emplaced Minigun Sheila, through which she can deploy a minigun that everyone can use.
Apex Legends season 6 has finally brought a new weapon to the game. The previous season failed to do so, which is why everyone was hoping to see one this time. The newest weapon is the Volt SMG, a weapon that was leaked through the game’s files before season 4.
These were all the important things that have arrived with Apex Legends season 6. Respawn will most likely introduce more stuff throughout the new season.
