Lifeline has remained a popular pick in Apex Legends since the launch of the game. She is one of the starting Legends and has always proved her worth. In fact, Lifeline is the only Legend in the entire game that possesses the abilities to heal her teammates to make sure they stay fit for the fight.
Apex Legends’ Combat Medic
The thing which almost every player loves about Lifeline is that she offers different abilities focused around helping teammates. From deploying a drone that can provide health to calling in a care package filled with goodies, Lifeline offers it all. Today, we will be talking about all the abilities she offers and when you should be using them.
First off, we have Lifeline’s Passive ability called Low Profile. This Passive ability is unique considering it has four different effects instead of one. Previously, there weren’t many uses of it, but Respawn has slowly made various improvements to it.
To begin with, you can revive teammates a lot faster if you’re playing as Lifeline. Unusually, it takes some time to get your teammates back on their feet, but Lifeline can speed up this process. Secondly, while you revive them, you are protected with a shield wall that cannot be destroyed. The only downside about this shield is that it is bright and easy to spot, meaning that your enemies will be able to spot you from far away. Other than that, it’s really useful.
Lifeline also takes less time to use healing items compared to other Legends. This helps you with keeping your health full at all times. In addition to this, Respawn introduced Blue Supply Bins in April 2020 which offer a secret compartment if opened by Lifeline.
Lifeline’s Tactical ability is called D.O.C Heal Drone and it is my favorite personal favorite in all of Apex. This allows the combat medic to deploy a healing drone that will heal you and your teammates whenever they are inside its radius. The drone heals pretty quickly if you’re the only one connected to it. However, the process gets slow when the entire squad is receiving a heal at the same time.
The only downside about the Drone is that your enemies can also use it. Therefore, it is always best to use it at a safe spot. In addition to this, if you’re playing as Lifeline, then we’ll suggest you deploy a healing drone after every gunfight so that you and your teammates can save up the medkits for later use. The drone stays for around 20 seconds, and you will have to wait 60 seconds before you can deploy another one.
Finally, we have her Ultimate ability called Care Package. This is the only ability in all of Apex that can help you with getting some top-tier loot if you’re lucky. Basically, thanks to this Ultimate, Lifeline can call down a care package from the sky that features three high-tier loot items. The only difference between Lifeline’s care packages and regular Supply Drops is that you cannot get gold weapons in the care packages. In addition to this, the loot present in Supply Drops is a little more valuable than the loot found in the care packages.
Since it is one of the most powerful Ultimates in the game, you will have to wait for 6 minutes before you can call in another care package. You can choose where it lands and it takes around 15 seconds to arrive. However, keep in mind that it creates a lot of noise and your opponents will know its coming. Therefore, make sure to grab the items quickly and disappear from the area to avoid unnecessary gunfights.
Tips for Playing With Lifeline
If you’re playing as Lifeline, then you should always try to get your hands on as many Ultimate Accelerates as you can. Thanks to them, you’ll be able to call in a care package quickly. In addition to this, don’t be greedy when it comes to looting the care package. You should make sure that all of your teammates get an item each.
