Team Liquid enters Rocket League Esports with Fruity, Speed and Kuxir

Team Liquid has announced their entry to Rocket League Esports, their debut roster consisting of two ex-Mousesports players Kuxir and Speed alongside Oxygen’s Fruity as official Team Liquid members. Looking no further than to join Rocket League’s Brand new Championship Circuit, the RLCS X, the three professional players shared their thoughts on what lies ahead after their joining.

Team Liquid X Rocket League:

It’s time to shift to a higher gear. Rocket League has entertained the world for five years now, and we’re excited to be joining the competitive landscape and competing to be the best team in the world. Psyonix has taken great care to nurture the esports scene over these last five years, putting up million dollar prize pools and running leagues around the world. Rocket League has continued to grow as an international esport from its establishment, which is no doubt due to the passion of the people involved in the scene. We can’t wait to bring our experience and resources to this title.

We’d like to introduce you to Team Liquid’s Rocket League roster: Fruity, Kuxir, and Speed.

The official announcement came forward with all three players sharing their feelings of joining the already prestigious esports organization. Coming as winners of many other esports titles such as DOTA 2 and CS: GO, Team Liquid’s entry to another major Esports title will come with the same thirst here for becoming champions, the best of the best.

The shared announcements also had an interview session of what the players thought of their prospects with Team Liquid. Being chosen as a part of the debut roster for Team Liquid is no small feat, as each player has shown great skill and success in Rocket League Esports. Here’s what they had to say:

Fruity:

When did you start playing Rocket League? What got you into the game?

I started playing a couple of months after release in 2015, when I was introduced to the game by a couple of friends. I started playing casually, however, quickly found out how fun the competitive aspect of the game is. After that I’ve pretty much played it every single day.

What made you decide to join Team Liquid? As TL is new to Rocket League how does it feel to be representing a brand new org in the scene?

Joining an established organisation like Team Liquid is honestly a dream. I’ve watched Team Liquid grow over several years and being part of them going forward is really appealing to me. I’m so excited to introduce the game and RL scene to all the TL fans around the world. It’s a privilege to represent TL, and I’m excited for the future.

What are your goals for the future in Rocket League?

With the introduction of RLCS X, becoming a World Champion is the ultimate goal, with this World Championship being the most prestigious yet in the history of Rocket League.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

If I had to put it short, I would probably say that I’m always trying to be useful for my teammates and making the game more difficult for my opponents.

Speed:

When did you start playing Rocket League? What got you into the game?

I started in season 1 on the playstation because the game was free when RL released. Originally I hated it and quit because I was horrendous, then I came back in season 3 and was instantly addicted to the fast pace and the fluidity of the game.

As TL is new to Rocket League how does it feel to be representing a brand new org in the scene?

Team liquid is — and I cannot stress this enough — my dream organisation. It was the biggest no brainer I have ever had, and I cannot wait for the future with them. As for supporting a new org, it allows us to create our own legacy and not be held back by the thoughts of what the org had previously achieved in rocket league, which is freeing.

What are your goals for the future in Rocket League?

I want to bring enjoyment to people. As long as other people enjoy me playing and my personality then I am satisfied. Oh, and a world championship or two would be pretty nice as well!

How would you describe yourself as a player?

A perfectionist. I strongly believe there is a way to play the game where you can practically always win, and I am constantly trying to be more efficient because that’s the style I want to go for.

Kuxir:

When did you start playing Rocket League?

I started playing Rocket League when it was still in alpha, I believe it was 2014. Before RL I played the prequel for about 6 years and that’s the reason I knew about it so early. I never get tired of this game concept, it feels like I was born to play it!

What made you decide to join Team Liquid? As TL is new to Rocket League how does it feel to be representing a brand new org in the scene?

I never really watched other esports but even I knew Liquid’s name. Even before I played Rocket League and that kind of shows how important joining this org feels. It’s an honor to represent TL and I’ll make sure to do all I can to be worth this spot.

What are your goals for the future in Rocket League?

My goal will always be to become the best player to have ever played the game. I already won a World Championship but I’ve never felt like it was enough. i’ll go one step at a time though, I’m still extremely far from that goal.

How would you describe yourself as a player?

I don’t really have a clear answer. I like looking at the game from my own world, my own perspective. People probably see me as quite unorthodox but I strongly believe that I am playing this game with the most effective approach, or at least getting close to it.

The RLCS X Postseason circuit will now come with Team Liquid taking an active part in aiming for the Championships of Rocket League. The new circuit format shall have a grand prizepool of over $4 million distributed throughout the season, and Team Liquid will be aiming to take it all for their own. Each member is confident in their potential and skill to be the best of the best, and with the renowned organization behind their backs, there will be plenty of show to see going forward in Rocket League Esports.
