Pokemon Go: Team Rocket Balloons Live Now

Pokemon Go: Team Rocket Balloons Live Now

The Rocket Balloons that Pokemon GO has been teasing for the past week now is finally live ingame. The whole world can be seen filled with Team Rocket Balloons that are bringing Team Rocket Versus battles to everyone. The update brings leaders alongside grunts having a full takeover to Pokemon Go inside its Fourth Anniversary Week.

Mysterious balloons have popped up in the sky, and the culprit is Team GO Rocket! With these Team GO Rocket balloon invasions, you can now battle Team GO Rocket anywhere on the map. We ask that you keep an eye out for balloons in the sky and battle the Team GO Rocket Grunts and Leaders piloting them. Who knows—you may even find Giovanni! Reports show that they appear once every few hours, but could appear more often during takeovers.

The update comes with the conclusion of the Anniversary Week and the first Pokemon Go Fest Challenge, the Skill challenge. There only remains one more day for players to conclude their Elite Challenge if they have arrived this far. Come ahead on the already available bonuses, this looks to provide players with much entertainment and stuff to enjoy for the conclusion of Pokemon Go’s fourth Anniversary.

Balloons having Team Rocket members are up for battles with just a single click. The normal state of getting shadow Pokemon also comes with this, this and the Radar collection used for facing higher Team Rocket Leaders ultimately landing with the big boss; Giovanni.

1. Tap a balloon to battle Team GO Rocket: Be ready for a challenge! Tap a Team GO Rocket balloon, pick your battle party, and defeat Team GO Rocket to rescue their Shadow Pokémon. Team GO Rocket balloons will hover near you for a limited time, so be sure to check the map for balloons and tap them before they fly away!

2. Equip your Rocket Radar to encounter balloons with Team GO Rocket Leaders: When you have a Rocket Radar equipped, you can find Sierra, Cliff, or Arlo piloting a Team GO Rocket balloon.

3. Equip your Super Rocket Radar to encounter Giovanni: It appears that even the boss of Team GO Rocket himself can be found riding in a Team GO Rocket balloon! If you activate and equip a Super Rocket Radar, Giovanni’s balloon is certain to appear.

With this addition, the further Challenge Week 2 is announced to see some changes to fit in with this surprise update. Ultimately, the teasers for a new Team Rocket mechanic is finally revealed in the manner of brand new Balloons that hover and appear ingame in the wild. This comes as a first as Team Rocket originally were only found to be in Pokestops. This is a fortunate update that brings the unique mechanic to each doorstep now that its available outside of the normal Pokestop range. This will allow many players to enjoy fighting against Team Rocket without having to leave their homes.

Turns out, Professor Willow and the team leaders were on to something when they discovered those scraps of paper! With Team GO Rocket flying across the world of Pokémon GO, we’ll need as many of you as possible to help defeat them! Keep an eye out for these Rocket balloons, and continue to train. Hopefully this will be the extent of their mischief and they’ll surrender now before we have to prepare for more fights. But just in case…we might have to revisit the original plan for the GO Fest Weekly Challenge: Battle Timed Research. Stay tuned for more updates on what that Timed Research will now entail, as well as the accompanying battle-themed event.

Moreover, this draws us closer into Week 2 of July, another week closer to the Pokemon Go Fest set for July 25th and 26th. All these updates come in preparation for those two days that shall hold the biggest Pokemon Go event of the year, coming this time to every single player online. Moving forward, players will be enabled to tarry on with Week 2 rewards and features being live soon and until then, Team Rocket Balloon Updates will keep everyone busy and entertained.
