Hyper Scape PC Open Beta – How To Access It

Were you eagerly waiting to try out Ubisoft’s latest battle royale but couldn’t because you weren’t invited to the closed beta? Well, you don’t have to wait any longer as the open beta for the game is now live. That’s right, the open beta for Hyper Scape went live a few days ago and players from all over the world are jumping into it. This is for PC only and we don’t currently know when the beta will go live on Consoles.

What Is Hyper Scape?

Hyper Scape was first revealed on July 2, 2020. It was previously teased by Ubisoft but no one knew what will be. The game basically came as a surprise to everyone as streamers on Twitch started playing it all of a sudden on the day its trailer was released. Hyper Scape features the same battle royale traits with up to 99 players dropping into a map to gather loot. While almost everything is the same, there is a major difference. At the end of the match, players have to get a hold of a crown that appears. Any player who is successfully able to hold the crown for 45 seconds is the winner.

Weapons and other loot are scattered throughout the map. Players can also pick up special abilities called “Hacks.” These abilities are pretty amazing as some of them can even make you invisible or transform you into a giant ball. In order to keep a balance, Ubisoft has limited players to have only two weapons and hacks at a time. The game also features the concept of reviving, something which was first seen in Apex Legends. In addition to this, your enemy will drop a revive point after you kill him, something through which you will be able to revive your eliminated teammates.

Hyper Scape also has a battle pass just like any other battle royale game. This battle pass will allow players to get their hands on some unique and exclusive items. While the technical test had a free battle pass with 10 tiers, the open beta has a 30 tier battle pass. Ubisoft has also confirmed that each season will also feature a battle pass with 30 rewards, but this might change in the future.

Hyper Scape Open Beta

As for the open beta, it went live a few days ago and it is much better than the closed beta, which was held from July 2 to July 8. This is because the open beta has brought many more features than the previous one. In addition to this, you don’t have to worry about belonging to a certain region or having a code to access this one as it is open to everyone.

New Features

Compared to the closed beta, the open beta for Hyper Scape has three new game modes, one new hack, and a weapon. In addition to this, the open beta has also introduced three new mechanics for the Corwncast Twitch integration system.

The new game modes include Crown Rush Squad, Hack Runner Squad, Turbo Mode Squad, and Crown Rush Solo. The first mode was already present in the closed beta, with a solo version of it now being featured in the open beta. As for Hacker Runner Squad and Turbo Mode Squad, they are limited-time modes.

As for the new weapon, it is the Harpy SMG. For those who don’t know, this is Hyper Scape’s first SMG, though we’ll get to see many more in the future. This SMG is perfect for close to medium ranged combat and is considered as an ideal alternative to the Ripper. On the other hand, players can also enjoy the Shockwave Hack in the open beta. This ability will basically let you create a powerful AOE blast that will deal heavy damage to anyone caught inside its radius.
