Apex Legends Season 5 – Best Weapons To Use

Apex Legends Season 5 – Best Weapons To Use

Apex Legends season 5 did manage to introduce a lot of things fans wanted, but it failed to add a new weapon to the game. The most interesting part is that there weren’t any leaks about a new weapon before the official launch too. However, Respawn still changed the game’s meta by introducing different changes to the already existing weapons.

Since the game’s release, Respawn has always introduced a new weapon with every new season. However, this was the first time the developers decided to go with introducing weapon changes instead of another powerful gun. For instance, they have made the Peacekeeper shotgun a gold weapon and is now only available through care packages only. As a replacement, the Mastiff shotgun can now be found as a regular weapon.

Best Weapons in Apex Legends Season 5

Now that so much has changed in season 5, it is now time to see which weapons should be used in the current season.

The Mastiff shotgun was once available through care packages only and was deemed as one of the most powerful weapons available in Apex Legends. It was always best to stay at a distance from an enemy who was using this weapon considering it could take you down instantly.

However, the Mastiff has now been changed to a regular weapon and can be found as regular loot in Kings Canyon and World’s Edge. But the weapon isn’t as powerful as it used to be considering Respawn has made different changes to it. For instance, its damage per pellet has been reduced from 18 to 13, headshot multiplier reduced from 2.0 to 1.25, fire rate reduced from 1.3 to 1.0, and so on. Despite this, it is still a powerful weapon and is the perfect option if you’re missing the Peacekeeper.

The second weapon we’d like to mention is the R-301 Carbine Assault Rifle. If you’re playing Apex Legends since its release, then you must be aware of the fact that the R-301 has always remained one of the most popular weapons.

The thing which most players love about this weapon is that it is really simple to use and offers good stats. The weapon hasn’t gone through many changes but is still standing strong. Respawn decided to give its power a little boost with Anvil Receivers in season 3, but they have been removed in season 5. If you’re looking for something that can prove to be useful in mid to close-ranged combat, then there isn’t any reason why you shouldn’t pick up the R-301.

The Wingman has always remained a popular choice in Apex Legends. It is easily the deadliest handgun available in the game and can help you take down opponents instantly. However, this gun is not that simple to use and if you’re not someone who can land his shots accurately, then its best you avoid picking it up. But if you think you’re worthy of using the Wingman, then you should definitely do so.

The most amazing thing about this weapon is that it can give you around 100 damage with every headshot. Although Respawn reduced its headshot damage scale from 2.1 to 2.0 in season 5, the Skullpiercer hop-up can fill that spot up. In any case, we will highly suggest you try this weapon out as you will instantly fall in love with it.

Although all three gold weapons available in Apex Legends are really powerful, we will be talking about the Devotion only. This weapon was once available as a regular one, but Respawn later decided to increase its power and made it a care-package weapon only. At the moment, it is considered as the deadliest weapon in Apex Legends as it offers stats that are not found in other weapons.

The weapon is perfect for both close and mid-ranged combat and can help you secure a kill instantly. Many players think that Devotion is a perfect weapon for the final-circle. In any case, if you manage to find this weapon in a care package, don’t make the mistake of not picking it up.

These were some of the best weapons to choose in Apex Legends season 5. We also recently talked about the best three legends to pick in the game. In any case, it will be exciting to see whether Respawn will be adding a new weapon in the next season or not.
