Valorant came out a few days ago and some players have already managed to unlock almost every Agent available in the game. For those who don’t know, these Agents are the in-game characters and each one has its own set of unique abilities. However, while unlocking every Agent might sound like an easy task, it actually isn’t. But there are some ways through which you can speed up the process.
Try A Valorant Agent First
Before starting the grind, we will first suggest you take some time to try out different Agents to see which ones you actually want to unlock. Thankfully, the developers have added The Range in which you can go and practice with a locked Agent. This will help you decide whether you should unlock him first or not. Once you’re done deciding, its time to get to work.
Activate An Agent Contract
The first thing you need to do is activate an Agent Contract. This is a really simple task as you just have to go “Collection” and from there to the “Agents” tab. This is where you’ll be able to activate an Agent Contract for the characters who were not unlocked at the start of the game. Once you start a contract, you will have to grind your way to Tier 5 in order to unlock that specific Agent. If you haven’t activated the Agent Contract, then all the XP you will earn will simply go to waste.
The best thing about Valorant is that the game is going to help you out at some points to unlock an Agent. For instance, after you complete the mini-contract, you will receive an “Unlock Agent” reward through which you’ll be able to instantly unlock an Agent. You will be given two chances to do this at Level 5 and Level 10. However, even if you use these, there will be still some Agents left to be unlocked.
Earning XP In Valorant
Earning XP is the key to unlocking Agents quickly in Valorant. At the moment, there exist two ways through which a player can earn XP. The first one is by simply playing a match, and the second one is by completing challenges. Playing a match will reward you will 100 XP, and you’ll get another 200 XP if you win a round. The highest amount of XP that can be earned in one match is 5100 XP, which will be given if you get an overtime victory.
As for Weekly and Daily challenges, these are set of tasks you have to complete in order to get some XP. You will get challenges such as playing a game, getting a specific number of kills, or dealing a certain amount of damage. In any case, these challenges aren’t that difficult and you shouldn’t have any problems while completing them.
How Much XP You’ll Need
As mentioned before, you will need to reach Tier 5 in order to add a locked Agent to your roster. For those wondering, the first Tier will around 25,000 XP to complete. After that, the game will keep on adding an extra 25,000 XP for each tier. For instance, you’ll need 25,000 XP to complete Tier 1, then another 50,000 XP to complete Tier 2, and so on. In short, you’ll be needing a total of 375,000 XP to reach Tier 5.
Don’t Ignore Missions
One mistake players make is that they end up ignoring missions at the start. What they don’t realize is that they can earn a good amount of XP through them. In fact, you can earn around 5,000 XP from each mission. Although the amount of XP will vary from mission to mission, the reward will be still good. Therefore, it is important to keep a track of such missions so that you don’t miss out on an easy way to earn XP.
Spend Some Money
The final and possibly the quickest way to unlock an Agent in Valorant is by purchasing. This option is for those who have some extra cash to spend and are not a fan of grinding. In Valorant, players can purchase an Agent for around 1,000 Creds, which is equivalent to $10. However, we will suggest you avoid this method as you learn a lot during the grinding process.
These were some ways through which you can unlock Agents quickly in Valorant. We hope that this post will help you out. The devs also recently hinted that some new game modes are in the works.
