Apex Legends Crossplay Confirmed

 Apex Legends Crossplay Confirmed

Since Apex Legends’ release that happened in February 2019, players have always remained hungry for new content. Although developer Respawn has rapidly introduced more content after season 1 of the game, it just isn’t enough. There were some things that have always been missing from it and players have always requested the developers to add them. And now, it seems like their prayers have been finally heard as one of the most anticipated features is finally making its way to the game.

Apex Legends Crossplay Confirmed

Recently, during the EA’s Play event, Apex Legends players were bombarded with some new information about upcoming content. While everyone was expecting to hear about some new events, cosmetic items, and other regular stuff, Respawn decided to surprise everyone by confirming crossplay. That’s right, the developers have confirmed that crossplay will become in Apex Legends across PC, PS4 and Xbox One soon.

This was bound to happen considering there are some new competitions in the market offering the same feature. Fortnite already has crossplay enabled and it was released in 2017. This is one of the reasons why Epic’s battle royale is the top one in the world. As for new games, Call of Duty: Warzone is also spiking the charts. The game came out some weeks ago and it has already managed to reach a high player count. Warzone too has crossplay enabled across all platforms.

When Will It Arrive?

At the moment, Respawn Entertainment is yet to reveal exactly when this feature will arrive. No one from the studio provided any release date, only that it will arrive sometime during “this Fall.” This means that we will have to wait a little longer for it to arrive. However, despite this, it is great to see that the devs have finally decided to bring something that can change the state of their game.

Apex Legends

Apex Legends currently has a player base of around 70 million players. However, this number was released back in October, and it is currently believed that the actual number is much more now. Respawn also recently confirmed that more players are playing Apex Legends in season 5 than before. Crossplay is something that will surely increase the player count of the game. There are times when players ignore playing it because their friends are on a different platform. However, all of this will soon change. We can expect Respawn to reveal more details about it during July or August.
