Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Warzone received a big update on April 28. While it was meant to improve the gameplay experience for players, it ended up making things worse. This is because shortly after the update went live, players started complaining about various such as extended matchmaking times. In addition to this, there have been multiple reports about in-game lag.
Warzone and Modern Warfare Bugs
No one is surprised by this considering a new update always ends up introducing bugs to the game. However, it is still something frustrating. Thankfully, a number of developers from Infinity Ward have confirmed that they are working on several issues. In different tweets, they talked about the issues that are currently being worked on.
Changes to MK9 Bruen Unlock Method
To begin with, the Co-Design Director of Multiplayer, Joe Cecot claimed that they are planning to introduce changes to how the MK9 Bruen LGM is unclocked. This weapon is fairly new and some players have been a difficult time while trying to unlock it. At the moment, players are required to eliminate three opponents with an LGM when they are near smoke, and that too in 15 different matches. Because of the fact that you cannot always have your enemy near the smoke, the devs are going to make sure you get the confirmation even if you are inside the smoke.
Warzone “Under the Map” Bug
Cecot also replied to a user who accidentally fell underneath the map while having fun in a helicopter. While players have previously experienced such bugs in Modern Warfare, it is still something annoying. The Co-Design Director is aware of the issue, and they will most likely work on this soon.
Obsidian Camp Bug
FaZe Clan’s content creator and sniper, Dirty recently claimed that the Obsidian camo on the KAR98K failed to cover the sniper scope too, something that is odd. Cecot thanked him for sharing the image, and it’ll hopefully get fixed through the next update.
No Weapon Inspect Mechanic
Since Modern Warfare’s release, players have been requesting for a weapon inspect mechanic. This is a feature that has been seen in the previous Call of Duty titles. The devs even introduced it in the Modern Warfare Remastered. However, after YouTuber “PrestigelsKey” asked about it, the game’s Art Director Joel Emslie claimed that “Right now. No. Sorry.” This has basically confirmed that Infinity Ward has no plans to introduce something similar in Modern Warfare and Warzone, at least not anytime soon.
Battle Pass Bug
Ashton Williams has further confirmed that they are looking into issues linked to the Battle Pass. There have been reports about the Battle Pass locking, but it will hopefully get resolved soon.
At the moment, the devs haven’t talked about exactly when these fixes are going to arrive. But we can expect them to see in the coming weeks. In the meantime, you can check out some of the features we’d like to see in Warzone.
