Both Sony and Microsoft will be launching their next-generation consoles later this year. Sony is going to launch the PlayStation 5, while Microsoft fans will get their hands on the Xbox Series X. Now that we’re entering the next generation of gaming, many players are wondering whether they’ll get to see their favorite titles on both platforms. And it seems like Respawn’s battle royale, Apex Legends, will indeed be making its way to PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Players will most likely get to see new exclusive titles for both platforms. However, they will also get the chance to play some old titles. In terms of battle royale titles, we are yet to find one which ones are going to become available on the next-generation consoles. Infinity Ward has already confirmed that its brand-new title, Warzone will be launched for them. This was expected considering the game is relatively new and will enjoy more success on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Now, it has been confirmed that Apex Legends will also follow its footsteps.

Apex Legends Will Launch For PS5 and Xbox Series X

While Respawn hasn’t officially said anything about Apex Legends coming to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, a job listing has confirmed it. It was posted on EA’s internal hiring board for a Senior Rendering Engineer. The listing mentioned that they’re looking for someone who can help them push Apex Legends to next-generation platforms. While the names of the consoles were nowhere to be seen, the “next-gen” term confirms it was indicating towards them.

At the moment, we don’t know whether Apex Legends will become available for them at launch, or sometime after their release. The listing includes skills such as “optimizing,” “fixing tricky bugs,” and “shading,” something which indicates that we might not have to wait a lot.

Mobile Version

Respawn also some time ago claimed that they are planning to bring Apex Legends on mobile too. Battle royales such as PUBG and Fortnite are already available on it and have enjoyed a lot of success. If Apex becomes available on mobile, then we can definitely expect to see a boost in its popularity. However, it is yet to be revealed exactly when the mobile version will arrive.

Respawn Entertainment is also gearing up for the launch of Apex Legends season 5. The upcoming season is expected to introduce a lot of new content to the game, including the new legend Loba and some map changes.
