Apex Legends Season 5: What We Know So Far

May is almost here, meaning that we’ll get to enjoy a brand new season for Apex Legends soon. To this date, Respawn Entertainment has released a total of four seasons. With every season, the developers have introduced different content such as new legends, weapons, skins, and much more. In addition to this, the game also keeps on getting better with every season.

Apex Legends Season 5

Now that Apex Legends season 4 is about to come to an end, players are looking forward to seeing what the next season will feature. Just like the previous seasons, we can expect it to shower players with exciting new content. Today, we’ll be talking about the things we know so far about Apex Legends season 5.

New Legend

First things first, Apex Legends season 5 will bring a new legend to the game. The start of a new season is the only time we get to see a new in-game character. This is because Respawn never adds them through a different update. So far, players have seen a total of four new legends, Octane, Wattson, Crypto, and the most recent one, Revenant.

At the moment, it is currently believed that Loba will get added to the game in season 5. Loba’s parents were brutally murdered by the Revenant in his reveal trailer, and different theories suggest that she is now looking for revenge. Although a character from the Titanfall universe Ash is also believed to be in development, most of the leaks and rumors point towards Loba.

Over the past few weeks, data miners have managed to discover a lot of things related to her. Her abilities also got leaked through which we saw that she is a master thief. She has abilities that can help her with finding a specific type of loot. In addition to this, her finishers also reveal how brutal she is. One of them makes Loba crush her enemy’s neck. In any case, she is definitely going to be one amazing legend and we can’t wait for her to arrive in the game.

Map Changes

Apex Legends season 5 is also going to feature some map changes. Season 2 brought a new map to the game, and everyone thought that season 5 is going to do the same. However, this is not going to be the case at all as Respawn is planning to make some changes to Kings Canyon instead. Players have been discovering different teasers which suggest that there is going to be an underground area in Kings Canyon. The interesting thing about it is that it is just behind the Labs, the very place where Crypto was first spotted. Since we’re getting close to Season 5, we can expect to see some more leaks and teasers about what exactly this new place is.

Reconnect Feature

The developers also accidentally revealed that the Reconnect Feature is coming in Season 5. For those who don’t know, it has remained one of the most demanded features since the game’s release. However, when Apex was released, Respawn claimed that they had no plans to add the Reconnect Feature. But now, they have finally decided to listen to the community as they’ll get to enjoy it in the next season.

The Reconnect Feature will basically allow players to jump back into the game if they get disconnected. It can be quite frustrating when you get disconnected during a really amazing match and you can’t connect back to it. However, this will change in season 5 as the Reconnect Feature will allow you to start from where you left off. Some players think that it might start getting used in the wrong way. For instance, a player can disconnect from the match on purpose during a critical fight and then log back in. Still, the feature is going to be amazing and will benefit most of the players.

Apex Legends Season 5 Delayed

Apex Legends season 5 has been delayed. Respawn recently confirmed that instead of May 5, the fifth season will now launch on May 12. This has been done to give players more time to complete their battle pass. No new challenges will be available during this time, so you can only complete your old ones. In addition to this, the devs have also decided to use this time to host one final LTM for season 4.
