Over the past few months, Fortnite fans have complained about fewer updates. While Epic Games was known for constantly releasing updates for their battle royale, the number of updates dropped down. This is why many fans started claiming that the game is dried up. However, there is still some hope left for them as season 3 is going to start in a few weeks. The upcoming season will hopefully bring exciting new content that will make Fortnite fresh again.
The thing which has bothered many players is the length of Fortnite chapter 2. The second chapter begin around six months ago when the black hole ate the first chapter. As a replacement, chapter 2 was introduced. Although the second chapter was considered as something that saved the game, its length ruined everything. For those who don’t know, Fortnite chapter 2 season 1 stayed for around 5 and a half months.
Season 1 started back in October 2019 and ended last month, on February 20. Because of its length, many players started claiming that the game was becoming boring. Epic Games failed to add a lot of content during the first season, and Fortnite became dry. However, chapter 2 then got released and it brought a fresh batch of content. This kind of saved Fortnite for the time being. And now, fans are currently looking forward to season 3 and the content it will feature.
Fortnite Season 3 Release Date
Some of you might be thinking that the second season of chapter 2 will also stay for months. However, this is not the case as it is currently scheduled to conclude on April 30, 2020. This means that the second chapter will end after one month, and the next season will then begin. If the schedule of previous seasons taken into consideration, then Fortnite season 3 will go live on May 1, 2020.
One thing to keep in mind here is that a delay can also happen. There are many times when the developers are unable to fully prepare something before its scheduled release date. In addition to this, the ongoing coronavirus outbreak has also slowed things down. Epic Games is yet to reveal how they will cope with the situation. If they close down their offices and tell their employees to work from home, then things will slow down for sure. If this happens, then we can expect Epic Games to add some new challenges to the game to keep players busy. The developers are also working on some exciting content that will make their way to the game soon.
