ESL One keeps the DOTA 2 Pro Circuit well underway with the Kyiv minor concluding yesterday. Team Aster won the minor, who seem to be on a winning streak as they completely dominated the Brackets of the Minor Tournament. Their title wins them US$ 72,000, 120 DPC points and the last deciding slot at the Major. Thus they conclude the lineup for the Los Angeles Major.
ESL One Los Angeles 2020 is the third Major of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit, slated for March 15. It will run from 15th to the 22nd. 16 of the following teams shall go head to head to win the massive US$ 300,000 1st position prize-pool.
A total of US$ 1million prize-pool will be distributed in the Major to the top teams. Not only that, the biggest reward is the distribution of the 15,000 DPC points. These points lay the basis that which team shall go to The International, DOTA 2’s largest Esports Event of the year.
The team that comes 1st in the Major shall gain US$ 300,000, 4850 DPC points, and will hail the trophy of the Los Angeles Major.
Similarly, the team that comes 2nd will get US$ 160,000 and 3000 DPC points.
3rd shall win US$ 110,000 and 2100 DPC points.
And lastly, the 4th shall get US$ 80,000 and 1350 DPC points.
Majors consist of the larger portions of distributed DPC points. This is why people hail them to be the turning-grounds of the DOTA 2 Pro Circuit. Thus it is a case at hand that the winners of a Major are almost fully credited with enough DPC points to take them to the bigger stage. Major winners have been going to The International in the past years.
The Format of the Group Stage will be the GSL Format, while the Playoffs shall have Double Eliminations.
ESL come forward as witty in their advertisements showcasing various perks of visiting Los Angeles. Remarks of visitors bringing autograph books in case of star-actors like Bradd Pit coming to visit the tournament (just a possibility) give the audience plenty of reason to visit Los Angeles.
Teams such as the two time TI winners OG will face off against other top teams such as Team Secret, Navi, Ninjas in Pajamas, Virtus Pro and many more.
As for the current news on health concerns, ESL has shared news of their observation for the safety of attendees and are ensuring no health concerns arise, especially with the Corona Virus Epidemic at hand. Their full statement is read as follows:
