Surprising news for DOTA 2 Esports as news come forward about the last Majors and Minors of the current circuit.

The current pandemic has become a real threat to this year’s Esports and DOTA 2 is no exception. The following tweet has come forward with this year’s Road to TI:

DOTA 2 Twitter:

As stated, all events are hereby cancelled until the fourth minor which is the OGA DotaPit Minor. It would start in late April. The given statement concludes that thus, the minor along with the Los Angeles Major are both cancelled. The news comes as a big blow to the current circuit.

The later Major events set for May and June to conclude the current circuit would undoubtedly also affect the final line for The International. This would greatly affect the current annual event for DOTA 2 which has consistently come as the biggest esports event in history. This is because it has set the highest records itself along with breaking them year after year. This year people expected the same manner from the event. However, it looks like this year shall give something different due to the changes to the DPC.

It could be the case that Valve holds changes to given points and values for the final concluding events, but official news has not come forward regarding that. For now, the DOTA Pro Circuit takes a break for two months until May. News regarding the future events will most probably drop by then.

As for the tenth “The International” or TI10, there is no news of the current circumstances affecting the main event other than its attending teams. TI will commence in late August this year, and time shall tell what holds for DOTA 2’s biggest event.
